I know sometimes you feel unloved
Neglected or ignored
And I know sometimes you feel alone
Taken for granted and sometimes scorned

But I want you to know, dear Mom
That you are not far from my mind
You have brought me up with love
And care almost divine

You have been by my side
Through the thick and thin
You have guided me through it all
My most beloved of kin

You were there to make me laugh
Through the pain and tears
You don't know exactly how much you've done
Over the course of the years

You have raised me well, you must admit
Every year to a higher degree
Which is why you must already know
How grateful of you I must be

Because even if I don't tell you with words
Or show you all the parts
You always have and always will
